Requirements

Server

• Operating system: Ubuntu 22.04, 24.04, or 26.04 LTS, amd64
• Minimum resources: 2 GB RAM and 10 GB of free disk space
• Network: a private IP address and an internet connection during installation
• Free ports: TCP 80 (admin panel), UDP 1812 (authentication), and UDP 1813 (accounting)

These are the minimums needed to install. We size the server for your network together during the initial review, based on your number of subscribers.

If Docker is missing, it is installed during setup with your permission.

Router (NAS)

• A MikroTik (RouterOS) router running PPPoE or Hotspot
• Network reachability between the router and the Farava server on UDP 1812 and 1813
• For remote disconnects and plan changes: RADIUS Incoming (Disconnect/CoA) enabled on the router

Have ready before installation

• sudo access to the server
• The list of routers to connect and each one’s IP address
