Customers
A customer is a person or business that buys internet from you. A customer can have one or more internet services — for example a company with two separate lines.
Create a customer
Section titled “Create a customer”- Go to Customers and select New customer.
- Under Account:
- Customer number — the customer’s unique number in your ISP. If you are coming from another system, you can keep the old number.
- Display name — the person’s or company’s name.
- Under Contact details, enter phone, email, and address (optional).
- Select Create customer.
The next step is to install internet service for this customer.
Find a customer
Section titled “Find a customer”- In the Customers list, with the search box and status filter; or
- with the global search at the top, by name, phone, PPPoE username, or a full IP address.
The list shows each customer’s number of services, how many are online, and their balance. A service that was created but not set up yet shows as Awaiting setup.
Edit details
Section titled “Edit details”On the customer’s Overview tab, select Edit customer. Every change is recorded on the History tab under the staff member’s name.
Archive a customer
Section titled “Archive a customer”When a customer should leave the active list, select Archive customer. Past records (invoices, payments, usage) are kept. Archiving also ends the customer’s portal sessions. Restore customer brings them back.
Move a customer to another unit
Section titled “Move a customer to another unit”If you have branches or resellers, you can hand a customer over to another unit: on the customer’s page select Move to another unit and choose the destination.
- Past invoices, payments, and usage stay with the original unit; only who manages the customer from now on changes.
- The destination unit needs access to this customer’s plans (and to any IP pool or access profile their services use).
- If the destination unit may not use the router the customer is connected through, that session is disconnected.
