Quota and suspension

Farava rejects a subscriber’s sign-in when:

Cause In the panel
The service is not activated yet “The service is not activated yet”
The service is suspended “The service is suspended”
The service is cancelled “The service is cancelled”
The paid period has not started yet “The paid period has not started yet”
The paid period has ended “The paid period has ended” — renew
The data allowance is used up “The data allowance is used up”

Connection check shows the exact cause for each subscriber.

  • A new sign-in is rejected as soon as access is blocked.
  • A session that is already connected is only closed when Farava can deliver a disconnect to the router. For that:
    • the router must accept disconnects — see MikroTik setup;
    • Supports session disconnect must be on for that router in Farava;
    • the system must be in enforce mode.

If any of these is missing, the current session stays open until the subscriber disconnects, but they cannot connect again.

Change Typical time
Manual suspension About 5–11 seconds
Quota used up Up to one router accounting interval (about 5 minutes at 5m) after crossing the quota

Quota is counted from the router’s accounting reports, not second by second, so a subscriber can use a little more than their quota before the next report arrives. A shorter accounting interval is more precise but puts more load on the router and server.

  1. Check the disconnect command’s state under Network operations: Succeeded, Failed, or Retry scheduled.
  2. If it Failed, check the router’s disconnect settings and firewall, then select Retry delivery.
  3. If Connection check says “Network rules are in observation mode”, the system is still in observe mode.

A failed command is retried automatically (after 5 seconds, 30 seconds, 2 minutes, and 10 minutes) and then stays Failed.
