Install internet service

This page covers the whole path to connecting a new subscriber. Before you start you need at least one active plan and one registered router.

Overview

Create customer → choose plan → PPPoE username and password → record payment → activate → subscriber connects

1. Create the customer

If the customer is not in the system yet, create them from Customers → New customer — see Customers.

2. Set up the internet service

1. On the customer’s page, go to Services and select Install internet service (or Add Service).
2. Under Package and subscription:
   • Choose the plan (only active plans are listed).
   • A Subscription number is suggested automatically. You can edit it or select Regenerate for another one.
3. Under PPPoE access:
   • PPPoE username — the name configured on the subscriber’s modem or router. It must be unique across the ISP.
   • Password and Confirm new password — at least 5 characters.
4. Select Save setup and continue.

Each step is saved as it completes. If setup stops part-way (for example the username is taken), fix the problem and select Continue installation; completed steps are not repeated.

3. Record the payment

Activating the subscription takes the first period’s price from the customer’s credit. So first record the money the customer paid: on the customer’s Billing tab, select Record payment — see Record a payment.

4. Activate the subscription

1. At the end of setup, select Review activation.
2. The activation dialog shows:
   • Activation cost — the plan price;
   • Current credit — the money the customer has on account;
   • Remaining credit — after activation.
3. Select Activate subscription.

Activation starts the first paid period, issues an invoice, and lets the subscriber connect.

Not enough credit?

If you see “Insufficient customer credit”, select Go to billing, record the payment, and try activating again.

5. Check the connection

Configure the PPPoE username and password on the subscriber’s modem or router. Then on the service page select Check connection. When everything is right it shows Online; if not, the same page tells you why — see Connection check.

Several services for one customer

For a second line for the same customer, go to Services again and select Add another connection. Each subscription has its own internet service and PPPoE username.
